Lifeguarding Training Class

During the American Red Cross Lifeguard course, you will learn the following skills: CPR for the Professional rescuer, Basic First Aid, AED and Emergency oxygen. How to prevent incidents, how to recognize and respond to emergencies in the pool and around the deck. The course presents information on the skills and knowledge lifeguards need in pool, lake, river, surf and waterpark environments.

The prerequisites for the course are:

  • Students much be at least 15 years old
  • Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously
  • Tread water for 2 minutes (legs only)
  • Surface dive 10 foot depth
  • Carry a 10lb. weigh 20 yards

Course Dates:

Saturday and Sunday  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • September 24 & 25
  • October 22 & 23

Must attend both sessions to pass. Class times are subject to change dependent upon class size and abilities of participants. Please pack a lunch.

Cost:  $150 for Members and $200 for nonmembers. Please register in advance.
