A.O.A. Group Exercise Classes
It’s never too late to feel great! Group exercise provides a supportive and safe environment to help increase one’s strength, endurance, flexibility and balance. The classes listed below are taught by fitness specialists with an expertise in working with Active Older Adults. Fitness Classes are FREE to Members. Nonmembers can participate in our group classes by purchasing a Fitness Class Session Pass at the Welcome Center or pay the daily guest fee. See Fitness Schedules for class days and times.
SilverSneakers
This trademarked group exercise class is designed for active older adults. It is an equipment-based, multi-level, total body conditioning class in which students use hand-held weights, elastic tubing, a SilverSneakers play ball and a chair for standing and/or seated support.
AOA Water Exercise
The buoyancy of water allows you to improve strength, flexibility and muscular tone while minimizing stress on the joints.
AOA Circuit Training
Strength Training becomes even more important as you age! Participants alternate between Cybex equipment and cardiovascular equipment in the Weight Room.
