Active Older Adults (A.O.A.)
At the Tri-Cities Family YMCA, we know that exercise is an important key to influencing the length and quality of a person’s life. It is a way to attain, or maintain, good physical and mental health necessary for a mobile independent life-style free of reliance on relative, friends or institutional care. It equips a person to withstand the stresses of life and reduces mental fatigue, tension, strain and boredom. It also helps a person to look, feel and act younger.
We offer programs designed for seniors who desire a fun place to come together to connect with their peers while they become healthier and prevent some of the negative aspects of aging.
There are also many volunteer opportunities available that help to strengthen community and build relationships.
